Second Stage Round 10: Rouen - Chartres 93-79

There was a change at the NM1 leadership position after last games. Round 10 most important game was a defeat of league's leader C'Chartres (7-3). They were defeated by second ranked SPO Rouen (8-2) 93-79 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of C'Chartres. It was a key game for the top position in the league. SPO Rouen made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded C'Chartres 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by C'Chartres helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Moroccan power forward Mohamed Choua (202-1992) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Benoit Injai (186-1997) chipped in 10 points during the contest. At the losing side American-Icelandic forward Michael Craion (197-1989, college: ORU) responded with 17 points and the former international point guard Marc-Antoine Pellin (171-1987) scored 9 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SPO Rouen have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. C'Chartres at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Tours. They were replaced at the leadership position by Rouen.
