Regular Season Round 2: La Rochelle - Cholet 70-97

There was no surprise when La Rochelle was outplayed at home by Cholet 97-70 on Saturday. Cholet looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Robin Pluvy (180-2006) who scored 15 points and 7 assists. Guard Soren Bracq (192-2007) chipped in 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Sofiane Benragba (202-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Thibault Desplace added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four La Rochelle players scored in double figures. La Rochelle's coach Michael Bur gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cholet will meet at home Gravelines in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. La Rochelle will play against Paris and hope to win that game.
