Regular Season Round 7: Fougeres - Quimper 79-87

There was no surprise when 8th rankedFougeres (3-4) was defeated at home by first ranked Quimper UJAP (6-1) 87-79 on Saturday. Quimper made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Quimper especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Point guard Antoine Dudit (181-1997) fired 23 points and 4 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. Guard Benoit Injai (186-1997) chipped in 21 points. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Mali center Cheick Soumaoro (205-1990) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and point guard Maxime Choplin (180-1992) added 16 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quimper maintains first place with 6-1 record. Fougeres lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with 6 other teams.
