There was no surprise when 18th rankedALM Evreux (1-7) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Denain Voltaire (4-5) 83-76 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Lovell Cabbil (188-1997, college: Liberty) who scored 20 points and 4 steals. Swingman Neftali Difuidi-Walokwa (193-2001) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Cabbil is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Denain Voltaire players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard EJ Day (180-1999, college: Lasell) who recorded 17 points and 6 assists and swingman Dimitri Radnic (192-1999) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Denain-Voltaire moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Evreux lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the nineteenth position with seven games lost. Denain-Voltaire will meet at home Vichy (#12) in the next round. Evreux will play against Chalons-Reims (#16) and hope to win that game.
