Not a big story in a game when 18th rankedChalons-Reims (4-11) was outplayed on the road by ninth ranked Gries-Souffel (8-7) 101-76 on Friday. Gries-Souffel made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Chalons-Reims turnovers and outrebounded them 37-20 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gries-Souffel looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Leopold Ca (206-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Hasan Varence (198-1997, college: Ohio Dominican) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Matteo Legat (191-1996) scored 15 points. Five Gries-Souffel and four Chalons-Reims players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gries-Souffel maintains ninth place with 8-7 record. Chalons-Reims lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 11 games lost.
