Regular Season Round 15: Charnay - Tarbes 67-65

Eighth-ranked Tarbes (6-9) was very close to win a game against third ranked Charnay (10-5) in Charnay-les-Macon. Charnay managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for American Shakayla Thomas (182-1996, college: FSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi (188-1998, college: Miami, FL) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international center Jess-Mine Zodia (190-2004) with 13 points and Swiss guard Nancy Fora (176-1997) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Charnay moved-up to second place, which they share with BLMA and Charleville-M. Tarbes lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Charnay will play against Roche (#11) in La Roche in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tarbes will play at home against Landerneau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
