Regular Season Round 18: Limoges - Nancy 69-87

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Limoges (2-17) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Nancy (10-8) 87-69 on Saturday. Nancy forced 19 Limoges turnovers and outrebounded them 33-22 including 19 on the defensive glass. Nancy looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Marc-Owen Fodzo (180-2006) had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ivorian Alexandre Nfomoum-Lomby (195-2006) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Cheikh Tandia (182-2006) with 21 points and 8 assists and guard Noam Masdieu-Reynaert (190-2005) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Nancy have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Le Portel and Chalon/Saone. Limoges lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Nancy will meet Le Portel (#8) on the road in the next round. Limoges will play against Paris (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
