The biggest surprise took place in Challans where hostVendee Challans (12-7) beat league's leader STB Le Havre (14-5) 78-73 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of STB Le Havre. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Challans made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Mohamad Diop (204-1999) fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Serbian-Montenegrin power forward Luka Nikolic (209-1994) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Keith Wright (203-1989, college: Harvard) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and Valentin Bigote (196-1992) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Challans moved-up to second place, which they share with Angers. Le Havre at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Quimper.
