There was no surprise when 13th rankedPole France (7-13) lost to seventh ranked Berck (11-9) in Paris 68-86 on Tuesday. Berck forced 20 Pole France turnovers and outrebounded them 31-18 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Berck looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by point guard Dorian Okemba (187-2002) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 steals and Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-1988) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Berck players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by forward Meissa Faye (198-2007) did not help to save the game for Pole France . Nathan Soliman (204-2009) added 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Berck moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Pole France dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Berck will meet Rennes (#6) on the road in the next round. Pole France will play against Feurs (#4) and hope to secure a win.
