Second Stage Round 8: Orchies - Tours 88-73

There was a small surprise when tenth rankedOrchesien BC (9-11) won against 7th ranked Tours (9-11) in Orchies 88-73 on Saturday. Orchies forced 21 Tours turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tours ' players. The winners were led by guard Yanik Blanc (188-1999) who scored that evening 16 points, 8 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American power forward Joe Burton (202-1990, college: Oregon St.) supported him with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. Orchesien BC's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 26 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by American guard Collin Turner (185-1995, college: Angelo St.) did not help to save the game for Tours . Swingman Hugo Bequignon (193-2001) added 16 points for the guests. Orchies moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Tours .
