Regular Season Round 4: PVBC - Monaco 71-68
Date: October 18, 2025
Rather predictable result in Voiron where fifth rankedPVBC (3-1) edged 9th ranked Monaco (1-3) 71-68 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Monaco outrebounded PVBC 42-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when PVBC made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and who added 21 points during the contest. At the losing side American center Michaela Vanderklugt (185-1998, college: CUI) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Maud Stervinou (178-1997) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. PVBC have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with La Tronche and Aulnoye. Newly promoted Monaco dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. They share it with Feytiat and SIG. PVBC will meet Champagne (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Monaco will play against Mondeville (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
