Very expected game when 20th rankedVendee Challans (2-22) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Poitiers (14-10) 83-73 . Poitiers forced 19 Challans turnovers. The winners were led by center Narcisse Ngoy (215-2004) who scored that evening 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and British power forward Samuel Idowu (203-1997, college: St.Peter's) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Poitiers' coach Andy Thornton-Jones allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by forward Mohamad Diop (204-1999) did not help to save the game for Challans . American guard Marquise Moore (188-1994, college: GMU) added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Poitiers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 14-10 record, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Champagne. Challans at the other side stay dead last with 22 lost games.
