Regular Season Round 19: Angers - Landerneau 51-61

There was no surprise when 11th rankedAngers (5-14) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Landerneau (11-8) 61-51 on Friday. Landerneau forced 20 Angers turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Harmoni Turner (178-2001, college: Harvard) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 5 steals. Guinean forward Masseny Kaba (191-1998, college: UCF) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Landerneau players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish swingman Laura Mendez (173-2001) responded with 16 points and American guard Cassidie Burdick (188-1994) scored 4 points and 16 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Landerneau moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Villeneuve and BLMA. Loser Angers keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost.
