The game had a very big importance for second-rankedLa Tronche as it allowed them to take a leadership position. La Tronche smashed 12th ranked Nice at home 104-68 . La Tronche made 27-of-35 charity shots (77.1 percent) during the game. La Tronche outrebounded Nice 44-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for La Tronche especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Nice 's players. Nice was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Celia Cardenal (174-2002) who scored that evening 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Aurore Pautou (188-1982, agency: BIG) supported her with 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four La Tronche players scored in double figures. La Tronche's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds by forward Fabienne Constant (188-1986) did not help to save the game for Nice . Center Lina Fimbo (186-2005) added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Nice at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost.
