An interesting game forLandes (17-3) which played road game in Charleville against 3rd ranked Charleville-M. (13-7). First ranked Landes managed to get a 9-point victory 68-59 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Charleville-M.. Landes made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian center Murjanatu Musa (188-2000) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Leila Lacan (180-2004) who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. The former international forward Noemie Brochant (181-1999) responded with 21 points and American-Jamaican forward Tiffany Clarke (184-1991, college: Vanderbilt) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Charleville-M.'s coach Romuald Yernaux rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Landes have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-3 record. Charleville-M. at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Landes will play against Villeneuve (#5) at home in the next round. Charleville-M. will play against La Roche and hopes to get back on the winning track.
