Very expected game when 11th rankedNice (8-15) lost to sixth ranked Champagne (14-9) in Reims 41-53 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Anya Poole (188, college: Clemson) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. point guard Lauryn Vieira (160-2001, college: Eckerd) accounted for 8 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Champagne's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Fabienne Constant (188-1986) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Alexa Middleton (175-1995, college: Iowa St.) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Nice in the defeat. Champagne moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Feytiat. Loser Nice keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with SIG.
