Poitiers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Marcus Gomis (183-2000) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and Kevin Harley (197-1994) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. At the losing side American-Nigerian Bryce Nze (202-1998, college: Butler) responded with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Thomas Cornely (190-1991) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Poitiers and four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Mickael Hay gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
