The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (12-7) on the court of fifth ranked Sokhumi on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Sokhumi 85-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dinamo Tbilisi. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 47-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sokhumi dominated on the defensive end, holding Dinamo Tbilisi to just 7 points in fourth quarter. International center Giorgi Sharabidze (210-90, agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Mikheil Berishvili (204-87) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Dinamo Tbilisi. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Irakli Khoshtaria gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sokhumi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kutaisi. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with Batumi. Sokhumi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Mgzavrebi.
