Kutaisi fired past Sokhumi on the road to gain 2-1 lead. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 22-6 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Kutaisi dominated on the defensive end, holding Sokhumi to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for the former international Beka Bekauri (207-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Azerbaijani forward Davit Barbakadze (203-82) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. Kutaisi's coach Kote Tugushi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American point guard Phillip Miller (185-91, college: Wiley) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Giorgi Jgerenaia (206-90, college: N.Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds.
