Very expected game when 11th rankedAmra Gagra (5-11) was edged by fourth ranked TSU (10-7) in Tbilisi 94-92 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 24-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. TSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international point guard George Tsintsadze (194-1986) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Aleksandre Phevadze (207-1998) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five TSU players scored in double figures. Even 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by international point guard Luka Maziashvili (187-2000, college: UMass Lowell) did not help to save the game for Amra Gagra . The former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (196-1993, agency: BIG) added 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. TSU maintains fourth position with 10-7 record. Amra Gagra lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. TSU will meet at home league's second-placed Iverioni in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Amra Gagra will play against Delta (#8) in Gurjaani and hope to secure a win.
