The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. TSU dominated on the defensive end, holding Delta to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They made 19-of-19 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They outreboundedDelta 45-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Aleksandre Phevadze (207-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. The former international point guard George Tsintsadze (194-1986) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Five TSU players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Swopshire (201-1995, college: Colgate) replied with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Danya Kingsby (185-1998, college: GSU) added 16 points in the effort for Delta.
