Regular Season Round 1: Noerdlingen - Weissenhorn 68-81

Weissenhorn Youngstars' road win over Giants 81-68 was very exciting. Weissenhorn Youngstars forced 19 Giants turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Hungarian point guard Marcell Pongo (194-97) chipped in 11 points, 9 assists and 7 steals. At the losing side center Eddy Edigin (201-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Jacob Mampuya (200-94, college: High School) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Weissenhorn Youngstars will face Bayer Giants (#7) in Leverkusen in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Giants will play on the road against USC Leipzig and hope to win that game.
