Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kirchheim Knights (17-7) against fifteenth ranked ETB Wohnbau (6-18) on Sunday night. Host Kirchheim Knights were edged by ETB Wohnbau in a tough game in Kirchheim 92-93. ETB Wohnbau players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. The winners were led by American forward Eric Thompson (204-93, college: Pacific) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Five ETB Wohnbau players scored in double figures. ETB Wohnbau's coach Igor Krizanovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 29 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) did not help to save the game for Kirchheim Knights. Center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. ETB Wohnbau maintains fifteenth position with 6-18 record. Kirchheim Knights at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. ETB Wohnbau will play against higher ranked Nuernberg (#13) in Nurnberg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kirchheim Knights will play on the road against Chemnitz (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
