Regular Season Round 3: Oldenburg - Schalke 74-78

Very predictable result when Schalke (3-0) defeated on the road Oldenburg (0-3) 78-74 on Saturday. Schalke made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for naturalized American forward Shawn Gulley (201-93, college: Temple JC) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward RJ Slawson (203-92, college: Jacksonville) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Schalke's coach Raphael Wilder used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Marcel Kessen (207-97) with 25 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Haris Hujic (193-97) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Schalke will face SSV Lok Bernau at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oldenburg will play against Itzehoe (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
