Very important is a home loss of second rankedSchwelm (5-2) against fourth ranked Kangaroos (5-2) on Saturday night. Host Schwelm was defeated by Kangaroos in a tough game in Schwelm 84-92 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Schwelm. Iserlohn made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish guard Jorge Mejias (190-2001, college: TAMIU) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. American center Diante Bah (204-1997, college: Rowan) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Bah is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kangaroos players scored in double figures. Kangaroos' coach Toni Prostran allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-1990, college: Dubuque) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 assists and Robert Merz (198-2000) added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Schwelm. Iserlohn moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Schwelm . Iserlohn will play against Rist Wedel (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Schwelm will play against Bernau (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
