Very expected game when 11th rankedMarburg (1-6) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Noerdlingen (4-3) 83-81 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Noerdlingen forced 20 Marburg turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Chante Stonewall (185-1997, college: DePaul) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Laura Schinkel (173-1999) accounted for 22 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Marburg players scored in double figures. Marburg's coach Patrick Unger tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Noerdlingen moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Marburg keeps the eleventh position with six games lost.
