Regular Season Round 9: Rhein-Main - Wasserburg 61-80

Everything went according to plan in Langen where fourth ranked TSV 1880 (7-2) outleveled 6th ranked Rhein Main Baskets (4-4) 80-61 on Saturday. Wasserburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Maria Perner (178-2006) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 assists for the winners and Lina Lieckfeld (181-2002) chipped in 22 points. The best for the losing side was Croatian forward Monika Crnjac (181-2004) with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Johanna Kirchner (185-2005) scored 14 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for TSV 1880. Wasserburg moved-up to third place, which they share with Wuerzburg. Rhein-Main lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Stuttgart MTV. Wasserburg will meet at home league's second-placed Heidelberg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rhein-Main will play against Leimen and hope to secure a win.
