Regular Season Round 9: Itzehoe - Iserlohn 79-96

Everything went according to plan in Itzehoe where third rankedKangaroos (7-2) beat 13th ranked Eagles (1-8) 96-79 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Spanish guard Jorge Mejias (190-2001, college: TAMIU) who scored 25 points and 7 assists. Christopher Schultz (194-2003) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Belgian forward Alan Kikwaki (203-1999, college: DWU) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Erik Nyberg (186-1996, college: Clarendon CC) added 17 points and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. Five Iserlohn and four Itzehoe players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kangaroos have a solid series of three victories in a row. Iserlohn moved-up to second place. Itzehoe at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with FC Bayern 2.
