Regular Season Round 9: Noerdlingen - Halle 55-68

The biggest surprise of round 9 in DBBL was guestHalle 's (#6) road victory over Noerdlingen (#7) 68-55 on Saturday evening. Halle held Noerdlingen to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Noerdlingen 55-37 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 29 personal fouls committed by Noerdlingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Emma Stach (175-1996, college: Gonzaga) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. American center River Baldwin (196-2001, college: NC State) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Halle's coach Timur Topal used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Laura Schinkel (173-1999) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Chante Stonewall (185-1997, college: DePaul) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Halle maintains sixth place with 5-4 record. Noerdlingen at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Herner.
