Regular Season Round 10: Leverkusen - Freiburg 70-68

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Rheinland (4-6) edged bottom-ranked Freiburg (0-10) in Odenthal 70-68 on Saturday. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) notched 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Lisa Koop (197-1985, college: Winthrop) supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international forward Lina Sontag (190-2003, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for Freiburg. American swingman Frannie Hottinger (186-2003, college: Marquette) added 10 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Leverkusen moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Noerdlingen. Freiburg at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Leverkusen will meet league's leader Keltern in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Freiburg will play against Marburg (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
