There was no surprise when 6th rankedHanau (1-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Dresden (5-2) 101-85 on Sunday. Dresden forced 24 Hanau turnovers and outrebounded them 41-23 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Kilian Fischer (204-2007) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Erwin Ludwig (189-2008) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Dresden's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Felix Sinning (197-2007) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Turkish guard Eren Yildiz (183-2006) scored 21 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dresden maintains second position with 5-2 record having five points less than leader Rostock, which they share with RASTA Ac. Loser Hanau dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Metropol Ruhr and Kirchheim.
