There was a minor upset when higher rankedChemnitz (6-5) was rolled over at home by tenth ranked Telekom Baskets (6-5) 123-88 on Saturday. Bonn shot 66.7 percent from the field. Bonn outrebounded Chemnitz 31-18 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bonn shot the lights out from three sinking 24 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Darius McGhee (175-1999, college: Liberty) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and 7 assists and the other American import guard Phlandrous Fleming Jr (193-1998, college: Florida) who added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Victor Bailey Jr (193-1998, college: GMU) with 24 points and Finnish forward Olivier Nkamhoua (203-2000, college: Michigan) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Chemnitz's coach Rodrigo Pastore gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bonn moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Weissenfels and Chemnitz.
