There was no surprise when 9th rankedRheinland (5-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked Saarlouis (10-5) 82-68 on Saturday. Saarlouis forced 20 Leverkusen turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Martha Burse (168-1996, college: Indianapolis) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Lithuanian forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-1998) helped adding 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Trudy Walker (180-1996, college: Jacksonville) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Saarlouis maintains third place with 10-5 record having four points less than leader Keltern, which they share with Osnabrueck. Leverkusen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Noerdlingen.
