There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedNeustadt TSV (4-11) beat on the road higher ranked SSV Lok Bernau (7-8) 97-87 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV made 28-of-31 free shots (90.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American point guard Anthony Watkins (194-2000) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Shawn Scott (185-1996, college: SW Christian) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. American guard Uzziah Dawkins (188-1999, college: Converse) came up with 28 points and 6 rebounds and Anton Nufer (204-2006) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Bernau in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV maintains thirteenth place with 4-11 record. Loser SSV Lok Bernau keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
