No shocking result in a game when seventh rankedHerner (7-9) beat 9th ranked Rheinland (5-11) in Odenthal 81-71 on Sunday. Herner made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Leverkusen outrebounded Herner 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Paige Robinson (178-2000, college: Illinois St.) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 assists (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and French guard Claire Parisi (169-1999) supported her with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Trudy Walker (180-1996, college: Jacksonville) did not help to save the game for Leverkusen . Her fellow American import guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Four Leverkusen players scored in double figures. Herner maintains seventh position with 7-9 record. Leverkusen lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Marburg and Noerdlingen.
