The most exciting game of round 16 in the DBBL took place in Saarlouis. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponentALBA Berlin (13-3) to third ranked Saarlouis (11-5) 64-62 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Martha Burse (168-1996, college: Indianapolis) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Lithuanian forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-1998) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Saarlouis players scored in double figures. American point guard Deeshyra Thomas (170-1995, college: Weber St.) replied with 13 points and 5 assists and her fellow American import forward Emily Kiser (191-2000, college: Michigan) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for ALBA Berlin. ALBA Berlin's coach Cristo Cabrera rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saarlouis have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-5 record having four points less than leader Keltern, which they share with Osnabrueck. Defending champion ALBA Berlin keeps the second place with three games lost.
