Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth rankedMarburg and 9th ranked Rheinland had identical 5-11 record. This time Marburg used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Odenthal 92-74 on Sunday night. Marburg made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Leverkusen turnovers. Marburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Hailey Leidel (180-1997, college: UMass) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian guard Caitlyn Jones (175-2001, college: Idaho) chipped in 18 points. Four Marburg players scored in double figures. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) produced 25 points and the other American import forward Trudy Walker (180-1996, college: Jacksonville) added 16 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Marburg maintains eighth place with 6-11 record, which they share with Noerdlingen.
