The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Veilchen's (4-13) road loss to tenth ranked Noerdlingen (6-11) 75-87 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Nicole Fransson (188-2000) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Lesila Finau (175-2000, college: CBU) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Kylie Kornegay-Lucas (178-2001, college: Towson) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Veilchen players scored in double figures. Noerdlingen moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Marburg. Loser Veilchen keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Noerdlingen will meet higher ranked Osnabrueck (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Veilchen will play against Marburg (#8) and hope to secure a win.
