Everything went according to plan in Herten where second rankedLoewen (18-4) won against 15th ranked Recklinghausen (2-22) 75-65 on Saturday. Loewen forced 23 Recklinghausen turnovers. Kosovan guard Faton Jetullahi (188-1994) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and Canadian Gilbert Gyamfi (193, college: John Brown) chipped in 11 points. The best for the losing side was Malte Schroeder (198-2005) with 9 points and 10 rebounds and center Henning Gustrau (199-2005) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Loewen .
