Rather expected game when 12th rankedFreiburg (3-16) was edged at home by tenth ranked Rheinland (6-13) 91-88 on Sunday. Leverkusen made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Nicole Scales (173-2001, college: Nova SE) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Rheinland players scored in double figures. American swingman Frannie Hottinger (186-2003, college: Marquette) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and the former international forward Lina Sontag (190-2003, college: UCLA) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Freiburg in the defeat. Freiburg's coach Stefan Moeller tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Leverkusen maintains tenth place with 6-13 record. Freiburg lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
