There was a surprise result when tenth rankedBensheim (8-13) won against at home higher ranked Reutlingen (13-7) 75-71 on Saturday. Strangely Reutlingen outrebounded Bensheim 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Marc Liyanage (199-1990, college: Delta St.) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Felix Becker chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Lino Tomas Duarte (190-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Kilian Fischer (184-2002) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Bensheim and four Reutlingen players scored in double figures. Reutlingen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Bensheim maintains tenth place with 8-13 record, which they share with Soeflingen. Reutlingen lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost.
