Second Stage Round 4: Rhein-Neckar - Bayreuth 70-73

Date: March 2, 2025
Important game to mention about took place in . Fourth ranked Bayreuth (6-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd ranked Rhein-Neckar (6-5) 73-70 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rhein-Neckar. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The winners were led by Liam Hollander who scored that evening 16 points and Kilian Walter supported him with 15 points. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by guard Flynn Lange (188-2006) did not help to save the game for Rhein-Neckar. Valentine Chinamere added 14 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bayreuth moved-up to second place, which they share with Heidelberg. Rhein-Neckar at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Bayreuth will play against Heidelberg (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rhein-Neckar will play against Hanau and hopes to get back on the winning track.
