Very expected game in Goettingen where 11th rankedVeilchen (4-17) was defeated by fourth ranked Osnabrueck (13-8) 86-79 on Saturday. Osnabrueck dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Veilchen 's 28. Osnabrueck looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Russian forward Kamilla Sudhoff (183-1999, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and Polish forward Klaudia Niedzwiedzka (186-1998) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Lesila Finau (175-2000, college: CBU) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Kylie Kornegay-Lucas (178-2001, college: Towson) scored 19 points and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Four Veilchen players scored in double figures. Veilchen's coach Ruzica Dzankic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Osnabrueck maintains fourth place with 13-8 record. Veilchen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
