There was no surprise when 9th rankedOberhausen (7-13) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (15-5) 72-48 on Saturday. Chemnitz dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Oberhausen 's 24 and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game, while Oberhausen only scored 0 point from the stripe. They outrebounded Oberhausen 46-34 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international Lucile Peroche (177-1998) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and American forward Erin Stroberg (185-2000, college: Regis Univ.) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four ChemCats Chemnitz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Maja Manten (-2005) with 8 points and 15 rebounds and guard Lauren Fech (173-1998) scored 20 points. Chemnitz moved-up to third place, which they share with Osnabrueck BBC. Newly promoted Oberhausen keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost.
