The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedSC Wizards (20-4) in Karlsruhe on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Giessen (17-7) 62-54 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SC Wizards. They outrebounded SC Wizards 38-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (198-2000) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Miles Mallory (196, college: RMC) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Stefan Ilzhoefer (200-1995) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and Michael Acosta scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. SC Wizards' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Giessen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 17-7 record. SC Wizards at the other side still keep top place with four games lost.
