Eighth defeat of league's leaderratiopharm Ulm (20-8) against tenth ranked s Oliver Baskets (14-12) 89-72 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ratiopharm Ulm. Wuerzburg forced 21 Ulm turnovers and outrebounded them 34-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian-Puerto Rican point guard Jhivvan Jackson (182-1998, college: UTSA) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists. The former international Lukas Wank (198-1997) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. The former international Karim Jallow (198-1997) replied with 12 points and Israeli point guard Ben Saraf (197-2006) added 9 points in the effort for Ulm. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wuerzburg moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ulm at the other side dropped to the second position with eight games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bayern. Ulm will play next round against Oldenburg trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Wuerzburg will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Vechta on the road.
