There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Bramsche (3-3) edged on the road higher ranked Aschersleben (3-3) 90-88 on Saturday. Bramsche had a 42-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Boston Stanton (196, college: Newman, agency: Origins Sports Group) who scored 31 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Bramsche players scored in double figures. Bramsche's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Dutch guard Joryam Saizonou (190-2002, college: UNCG) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals and Bompona Bonga added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Bramsche moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Aschersleben and Oldenburger TB. Bramsche will meet at home Freibeuter (#11) in the next round.
