Bottom-rankedHalle managed to get a second victory. This time they outleveled eighth-ranked Angels 78-55 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 23-point difference suggests that Halle is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. American-Austrian power forward Alexia Allesch (185-1998, college: Seton Hall) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Liz Smith contributed with 16 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Four Halle players scored in double figures. Halle's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swedish guard Stina Almqvist (185-2002, college: Pennsylvania) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Natalie Kucowski (190-1998, college: Lafayette, agency: LBM Management) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Noerdlingen. Halle (2-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Noerdlingen and Herner.
