Regular Season Round 9: Herner - Halle 71-77

Another exciting game for Halle (3-6) which played on the court of Herner (2-7). Seventh ranked Halle won 77-71. American-Austrian power forward Alexia Allesch (185-1998, college: Seton Hall) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Nicole Brochlitz chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Alexandra Wilke (175-1996) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and American forward Olivia Olsen (190-2003, college: Providence) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Halle maintains seventh place with 3-6 record. Herner at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Noerdlingen. Halle will play against higher ranked Marburg (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Herner will play against Hannover (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
