Regular Season Round 9: Rotenburg - Oberhausen 57-51

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Rotenburg where 9th ranked Oberhausen (3-6) was defeated by tenth ranked Hurricanes (3-6) 57-51 on Saturday. Pia Mankertz stepped up and scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American guard Kendall Nead (180-2002, college: Milwaukee) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Maja Manten with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and American forward Erin Stroberg (185-2000, college: Regis Univ.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Rotenburg moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Oberhausen. Rotenburg will meet Braunschweig (#11) on the road in the next round. Oberhausen will play against Bochum and hope to secure a win.
